To
support their industrial customers reduce their water use,
Australian water utility South
East Water recently launched the Water Achiever program.
“South
East Water is a state-owned company, which provides water and
sewerage services to customers in the south-east of Melbourne.
South East Water services 1.3 million customers, who live in an
area of approximately 3,640 square kilometers from Port Melbourne
to Portsea and from Mordialloc to some 40 kilometers east of
Berwick.
The company is well known for helping residential customers with
water conservation advice and wanted to help industrial and
commercial customers share in water conservation efforts. To
support these customers reduce their water use, South East Water
recently launched the Water Achiever program.
The drivers for South East Water to use Water Achiever were:
*Work in partnership with business customers on water conservation
*Contribute to the state government drive for long term water
conservation
*Contribute to the sustainable management of resources in our
region
*Learn more about our customers needs
*Deliver value to business customers
We selected the Water Achiever process because it is an easy to
use management tool that addresses water as a business management
issue, rather than a purely technical issue. It is an excellent
account management tool that enables us to develop and maintain
relationships with decision makers within our key business
customers.
We are well into our first program with Water Achiever. Feedback
from our customers has been very positive. We have also learned a
great deal about our customers and how water and wastewater
management is an important of part of their business too."
